PEE Paragraph:

The Lego Movie uses intertextuality to represent different members of the family target audience. The film is rated U which connotes the primary target audience is younger children while the secondary target audience is teenagers, parents and grandparents.
The primary target audience of the film is 4-12.
Secondary target audience is teenagers or adults people that have to accompany their child

The film uses superheroes (batman etc) it also uses tv show characters (Han Solo and C-3PO from star wars) Han Solo was introduced in 1977 and C-P30 was  also introduced in 1977.
This attracts teenagers by using  characters they know from films.
