Music videos use media language to differ from each other to show different emotions and storylines. Sk8ter Boi and Teenage Dirtbag have used different effects to relate to a different target audiences. However there target audiences both relate to (15-25). Teenage Dirtbag is related to a highschool experience were he cant get the girl he likes and Sk8ter Boi is aimed towards getting turned down then she sees him on TV and realises she made a mistake.

Editing Terminology Transition ; how one shot goes to another. Continuity editing ; one of the most common forms of editing, continuity devices are used to make the edit appear smooth so as not to distract the viewer from the narrative.
